Long time no chat, JSI followers!
October has been one busy month with all kinds of fun projects, travel spots, and exciting clients.
I am sure most of you saw on my Instagram stories all the fun things that happened at the High Point market and what better way to recap than a blog post!
We are going to do a High Point series recap where Jaime shares her take and favorite finds from the market and then another fabulous interior designer, Brooke Kavoogian of Brooke Anne Interiors, will share her best finds from the market. (AKA stay tuned! We promise you won't want to miss out on both of their goodies).
Let's start by hearing about Jaime's finds, specifically with trends, because who doesn't love to hear what the latest and greatest is?
Mini Lamps - Sign. Us. Up. We LOVE this trend especially because miniature sizes are very underrated right now. They are a great way to add that missing piece to any side table or console without overpowering. EJ Victor styled this console to perfection.
We can't wait to pull together an entry way or living room with these lamps. They are just SO GOOD!
If you love just as much as we do, they are available to purchase through JSI!
Green with Envy- Shades of Emerald and Kelly green were EVERYWHERE! We saw every variation of green styled in all kinds of different ways. From Ralph Lauren inspired polo lounges to fresh leaves used as the organic, finishing touch to a space, the eye candy was out of control!
Keep scrolling to see some insane spaces. We'll let the photos speak for themselves ;)!
Burl Wood- Always a favorite finish of mine and we are seeing it more and more these days. It is a true nod to the 70's with clean modern lines.
Events: Now onto the most fun part of the trip.... the events! We had three major sightings at HP.
Diane Keaton- She is exactly how you might have imagined her. Fun, quirky and extremely kind. She did a talk about building her home through images she found on Pinterest, and let's just say it was incredibly inspirational.
Martyn Lawrence Bullard- He is incredibly charming and very handsome :). It was such a pleasure meeting such an Icon.
Shea McGee from Studio McGee- We had just enough time to say a quick hello when she was leaving the building as we were entering. She was very nice, and had her rock star team with her.
Overall it was a very successful first High Point Market! The days were long, and we learned that sneakers are the best accessories a girl can pack.
We found gorgeous new vendors that we can’t wait to start using, and also some really cool vintage rugs, and accessories that will be available to purchase on the site!
Stay tuned for our designer spotlight on Brooke Kavoogian, founder and lead-designer of Brooke Anne Interiors, who will share her must haves and favorites from the Market.
